Andy Hill has worked in the past as an illustrator and a landscape artist but is best known today as an abstract painter. He has produced work for the Royal Academy of Art and many leading names in advertising, design and publishing. Inspired by nature and the Wealden countryside in particular, he was once voted as the public's favourite artist at Brighton Museum and Art Gallery’s ‘Sussex Open, Land and Sea Exhibition’. A few years ago he helped set up and run a small gallery and workshop space in Lewes called ‘Ooh Art’, with his wife, artist and designer Carol Kemp. They now run workshops from their home and studios in Horam. Andy paints large and small, colourful works, utilising extremes of contrast between thick and thin paint. His work is informed by a deep and personal, spiritual awareness. Visit  www.andyhill.art for more info.
